Never before have I felt personal animosity towards a kitchen gadget. This thing is so incredibly complicated and just plain bad, and has mangled so many of my vegetables and completely ruined dinner enough times that I have no choice but to throw this expensive piece of junk in the trash. When you place the vegetable on the skewer, the piece that is supposed to spiralize ends up holding it in place, while the skewer spins and spins and spins a hole right through your vegetable, leaving you with a completely useful piece of produce. Directions for use: Step 1-Drag your heavy kitchen aid mixer out of storage. Step 2-Do your best to figure out which of the 50 parts and pieces go together, and figure out how to attach them to your mixer. Step 3-Cut your vegetable to the exact requirements of the mechanism. Too thick? Too bad. Want to spiralize a carrot? Sorry, too hard. Too long? Too short? Sorry. Not happening. Step 4-Watch your vegetables get completely mangled. Step 5-Order pizza.
