In the past year I have gone through two of these cold brewers (one of them being the previous model without exterior plastic supports). Both of them have shattered under laughably weak force. The first one broke after being bumped by a plastic milk jug in the fridge and the second broke simply by being picked up by the glass instead of the handle. This, especially the second instance, is unacceptable. Nothing in the kitchen should break simply because it had to be picked up by the body of the object instead of the handle. Not does it lead to wasted money due to the cold brewer breaking, but it is also incredibly dangerous. I loved this cold brewer while using it, but it is far too dangerous for me to recommend anyone use it if it is going to shatter catastrophically during normal use. Do not use this product, the price and convenience is not worth the risk of getting glass in your food or cutting open your hand.
