The images shown in advertising have internal map. This is a lie for this unit. There is no internal mapping and there are no cards or anything else that will display a map on this unit 5X. No down loads, nothiing. The visual advertisng is completely false. I bought the 5X as the advertising shows a map and even the box it came in shows a marine map. Lowrance is putting a lesser model 5X into a box for their 5. Even the instructions that came with this unit are false. It does have GPS with a blank white screen and you make your way points and suppose to go back to them when you need them. NO MAP! Come on Lowrance, stop the cheap nonsense and tell peope what they are really getting. Not happy! Also, Lowrance sends a scimpy, vague 4 page fold out cardboard instructions. If you plan on finding out how to really use the 5X Lowrance, you have to go to Youtube and look at a tutorial that someone posted on the 7 Hook Reveal unit and try to refrence the 7 to the 5X. What a joke! My advice to you is stay away from cheap, frustrating Lowrance. I completely gave up on the 5X because of some additional problems I had with it and bought a Hummingbird. The Hummingbird comes with 35 page manual that covers everything. Never again Lowrance.
