Amazon & Verizon... hmmm... guess all of us with recent updates can consider ourselves scr*wed.. I contacted Verizon mobile app development and this is the info I received: no longer support 1st and 2nd generation Kindles which are based on Android 4.0.3 which is no longer supported unfortunately. We no longer support anything below Android 4.1. It’s never an easy decision to remove support for older OS versions and we typically would be hesitant to force the update which would allow users to continue to use the latest version of the app that your device supports. However, we had to end of life older versions of the application due to some services changes on the back-end which makes 4.5 the only support version of Fios Mobile currently. Soooo.... guess I'll toss my kindle and find something that is supported by Fios Mobile
