Looking for English Cadbury? RUN AWAY RIGHT NOW - this is Hershey's from PA not real Cadbury.
Completely misrepresented advertising on the Amazon page for this product. #1 - The image shows a block with the 'By appointment to HM the Queen' logo on the front of the bar. This indicates that these 'should' be the better quality English Cadbury - not the garbage produced by Hershey's in PA. #2 - The text of the advertising within 'Important Information' it clearly states - "THIS PRODUCT IS ONLY AVAILABLE FROM EUROPE AND MUST BE DISPATCHED FROM THERE." - it isn't. This is the garbage Hershey's rebadge of Cadbury that is sold domestically in the US. I guess I should have paid more attention to the fine print - "Actual product packaging and materials may contain more and different information than what is shown on our website." - in other words 'we will represent this to be a known high quality product - reinforcing that deception with claims that it will need to ship from the location it is misrepresented as, however, will actually provide something of lesser quality (substantially) without notice'. Shame Amazon, shame. Were this sold and shipped by a vendor, it would be one thing. This is "Ships and sold by Amazon.com" - they should have far better quality control in their vendor management. If I wanted low-grade domestic quality - I would buy it at Publix. EDIT: Looking further at the reviews (that I probably should have looked at prior to purchase), many have comments from Hershey's offering a support call. This makes the situation far worse as they DO know that this is not UK Cadbury 'under appointment' and does not come from Europe. If the commenting user 'Hershey's' is indeed Hershey's - it is a blatant misrepresentation of a gourmet item being switched for domestic product - in an area where they should be considered expert as it is their product. Whether Amazon is complicit in this fraud, or simply too ignorant to notice - who knows?
