I bought this for a glass fusing project. Because the glass fuses at high temperature it is important to use reasonably pure gold - other metals will oxidize, changing color and no longer appearing metallic. This stuff turned black - it acually looks burned. I don't know exactly what it is, but it isn't gold. If you just want leaf that looks like gold you can find it much cheaper than this. If you want or need real gold, this isn't it.
