I never leave bad reviews, but this thing is awful. I bought it for my daughter because we have a new upstairs neighbor with small children who sometimes run around at night. Bought specifically for white noise. It is not white noise. There are other noises in the white noise that are like some kind of psychological warfare. There is a chime and a hum and clicking replaying every few seconds on a loop and they sound like they are coming from somewhere else in the room. My daughter was having nightmares and not sleeping. I had to get her a lamp, a night light, and a dream catcher to convince her Michael Myers wasn’t coming in her window. Then I slept in her bed with her and heard the noise machine and it was MADDENING. I thought I was losing it. It sounded like it was in the walls, in my head, in the bed frame. I finally turned it off and realized it was the machine. No wonder she was waking up scared. Get a sleep easy fan powered sound machine for white noise.
