Was good until it had a catastrophic failure.
Update: Dec 16th- changing review to one star :/
The juicer worked fine up until today. It had a catastrophic failure and quite literally exploded while juicing. No signs of struggling or stressing, just the outside casing ruptured and couple pieces flew off. See photos. I am sad, overall had been a good juicer so far.
My previous original review is below.
Now... I have been researching slow/cold/masticating/extraction whatever people call it, juicer.
Been wanting to give this healthier lifestyle a try but am not wealthy enough to drop $500 or so, thought of giving this a try. I got it for a great price during deal, so bought it with expectation that if it fails it fails, lesson learnt, go for name brand... but...
That being said, I read a lot of comments people complaining about it getting too hot, or difficult to clean, or it broke etc etc.
My only advice is, take it easy, don’t push it. Roughly Chop up the veggies, especially celery. Be nice to the machine, this ain’t $4k industrial grade juicer people where in you can just shove up whatever you want.
Especially regarding comments about getting heated, it clearly says do not use it longer than 20 minute or so continuously. I used it couple of times with enough stuff to fill up the juice container. Did it get warm, yes a little, but it’s a machine tearing apart fruits and veggies, exerting.. electrical energy will get wasted in form of heat... can’t defy physics.
All in all, be nice, don’t push it beyond what the accompanying manual suggests.
