Garbage card, garbage support, DO NOT GET THIS CARD IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT ACTUALLY DEPEND ON IT
Over the past week, Chase has been absolute incompetence. The day after paying off my card, the card was declined when I tried to pay for a meal with my family. When I called to ask why, Chase said that the date was incorrect on the card. I read the date back, and it was fine. A couple of hours later, I got an e-mail instructing me to call as soon as possible with respect to a fraud alert. When I called, this seemed to be a repeat of the incident with the incorrect date. I asked why the story was changing and why I was having trouble using a card that I kept paid up. The agent said that Chase would call within 24 hours to discuss the matter further. I gave them my cell number, since the numbers they had on file were obsolete. When I got home, I checked online with Amazon and Chase, and they seem to be up-to-date electronically. As for the promised call, it never came. This evening, my card was declined again when I took my family out to dinner. Neither last week's meal nor tonight's meal were at expensive restaurants, just basic family places. I called Chase again, got no resolution, and I left my current number for a return call (since they can't seem to use the electronic records that I keep up to date on their systems). My call was disconnected while I was on hold, so I called back. The agent ('Andy') said that he could not get into my accounts and that someone would call back shortly. No-one called. As of this moment, I'm planning to drop this card the minute I can pay off the remaining pending charges.
