Okay... don't get me wrong, I LOVE my pet door but I'm pretty annoyed with these collar "keys" that make it work. First of all, these can't cost more than a few dollars to make. I've seen the way they are haphazardly pieced together inside. Secondly, they come on a cheap nylon band that cannot be used on it's own unless you are some sort of brilliant knot-tying seaman. So what ends up happening is that I pay fifty bucks for something that I have to modify and tie to my dog's existing collar to make it work. I recently had to purchase an additional collar because another dog adopted me and I knew better than to get any version of it than this one because of the screw holding the two pieces together. I just think the price tag on such a cheaply made piece of equipment is a little ridiculous for a door that already cost upwards of three-hundred and fifty dollars to start with. It works fine, but I hate getting ripped off by the company that makes it.
