I purchased this lock & after about three weeks of daily use it broke while riding upright in my pannier. I unlocked my bike, placed it in my pannier, and rode 8 miles to the office. When I opened my bag & took the lock out the tab to slide the plastic piece off of the lock had broken off completely. The only loose items in my pannier on top of the lock were my keys, phone, and work ID card. There is no way to move the plastic off of the lock now thus, no way to get the key into the lock. I don't understand how the tab could break so easily on such a sturdy lock. Unfortunately, when I went to return it I had missed the 30 day return mark by 1 day leaving me with a useless lock & out $90.
