So I hate first day reviews of "works great" or "Best *** you'll ever buy" I got this system in May 7th 2018 and installed it that weekend. It's now September 12th 2018 and I've lost my second camera. I lost the first one less than a month after install. Wasn't a big deal at the time, I bought 8 cameras, and I'm only using 6 so no biggie, I have a spare. So 4 months in I just lose another camera. I go thru all the stuff tech support will tell me to do "Reboot, unplug, try another power cord, etc" and yep second camera is dead. So now I get to climb up a pole for the 5th time today (Of course the cameras that keep dying are on a pole 20' in the air) and reinstall my last spare camera. Since I don't believe is only talking about the bad... The range of these camera is fantastic, and you can put them in repeater mode (youtube it as their instructions suck and are hard to follow) and get a lot more range. I have two cameras that the end of my country driveway, about 700' from the base. Now I do have another camera 1/2 way up the drive in repeater mode it's maybe 250' from the base. Picture is great, refresh rate is fine. Setup for viewing on your phone is simple. These are 960p not 1080HD what that means is that you can not read a tag number from one of these cameras. As I write this my truck is parked 30' from my entry door camera in morning daylight (BTW the night vision on these cameras is awesome) and I can not make out the numbers on my tag. Now I have my NVR ran into my bedroom tv via an HDMI cord and a wireless mouse connected so I can set in bed and pull it up like a TV device (DVD, Cable, Video Cameras) and look at and control the cameras on a 48" TV, makes it amazing. This is NOT A SUPER HIGH DOLLAR security system, but the picture quality and night vision are exelent for the money. They got the 1 star rating after the second camera has failed in 4 months. If it wasnt for the camera fails I would have given them 5 stars. These are not 1080HD cameras and you are not NOR SHOULD YOU EXPECT to have pictures that you can read a tag number off of. If you want that quality system you'll never touch it for this kind of money. I installed this at my camp, and it was perfect for that it the cameras would stop dieing :(
