I am hesitant to write a bad review of a product, but in this case, I feel it would benefit people to know what they should expect. It is always risky to buy furniture without “trying it on”, to be sure. We chose this sofa because we like the color and look of it. But a couple of things went wrong. First of all, the delivery. We were told point blank that since the driver was alone, the driver could not bring it up any stairs and would have to leave it on the curb in front of the house. Not what was promised. But kids were home and they and the driver were able to bring it in. When we unwrapped the sofa, we noticed a board protruding from the right hand side. We figured it was part of the packing materials. Well, the plywood plank was screwed in so tight nothing, even an electric screwdriver, could release it. And there were ink stains in random places on the sofa. Despite both of these problems the deal breaker was comfort. Absolutely none. No bounce, no give, like sitting in a padded church pew. Also, construction was poor and seams were askance. So please... Try at the store before you buy on Amazon. One good thing that came from this is we cancelled the order for the matching loveseat we ordered direct from Ashley. Hope this review helps you!
