★★☆☆☆
Downgrading but providing a balanced review.
This would be a perfect purchase if it only had a natural gas conversion available. It chews through propane pretty fast. That said I'm using this griddle often and it's a pleasure to use. Update: I've been using the 360 griddle now almost daily for about a month or so. I've gone through two tanks of propane already. I also have a two year old camp chef 36" griddle so I have something to compare to. Here's my current opinion on the 360. The surface has some significant hot and cold spots. That's not so much of an issue though. Once you know where they are, the low temp spots are a good place use as a cold zone. I give that 4 stars I am downgrading my rating a few stars though. The lack of a natural gas conversion is a major hit for this type of griddle. It uses a lot of gas! Enough so that I bought a second LPG tank as backup. Cost of ownership goes up. Given the price of propane, it's pretty expensive to use. Much more so than NG or a regular grill. In the end, cost of use 2 stars. Quality of construction? Meh, it's OK for the price. I'll go 4 stars because the griddle surface is nice heavy construction. The rest is just average. Now the real hit. When I called the customer service number to ask if there was a NG kit available the answer was a curt NO. Seriously only one word then silence. When asked if there was any future plan for one, the same one word response. NO. Really, a NO, then silence again. I really didn't know how to respond to that literal slap so lack of conversation over. Thanks for the assistance? Given the short responses and the very high quantity of people requesting NG for this griddle, I can only assume Cuisenart is not at all interested in meeting their customer's needs. Sell it and forget it seems the way things operate there. Cuisenart as a whole is off my purchase list permanently. In 67 years, that was a whole new experience for me. 0 stars for CS. In fairness all that said, if a NG kit were available and customer service was even moderately respectful, I would have given this griddle a 5 star rating. It does cook great and I do like the lack of sides on the griddle surface. The drip tray could be a bit wider and the drip container falls of with a minimal bump. It's clearly not an Evo but it's also not $4k So in summary, if you don't mind constantly running out to buy gas and are not interested in customer service, this griddle will fit the bill. Otherwise my camp chef 36" griddle has been working perfectly for 2 years. It cooks great as well. It has a more even temperature across the surface and NG is a cheap conversion offered by the manufacturer. Hope this was an accurate and balanced review.
