Carrageenan is highly inflammatory and a known gastric carcinogen. This defeats the purpose of astaxanthin's anti-inflammatory properties. Why Doctor's Best would put this ingredient in their formula is baffling. Will be returning immediately. I thought this was a good brand. I will be looking at the ingredients of the other DB supplements I take. This ingredient will most likely be removed in Nov 2018 from all organic products. Please research online. There are many reputable links, one being the Cornucopia Carageenan Report 2016. It's the 2nd one down on Google, a PDF.
