I have/had several 20" x 60" and 30" X 60" versions. In 5-10 degree temperature the 20 x 60 was completely covered by ice. The 30 x 60's freeze along the edges creating slip areas in critical areas of the mats as along edges of steps, etc. Making things worse is the fact that the snow that melts feeds the edges with water which also freeze. So, although better than nothing, just realize that there are some hazard spots to be concerned about as was noted by my handyman when he almost slipped and fell walking down the steps. I returned the useless 20 x 60's and asked for a credit on shipping so that I could replace them with the more expensive 30 x 60's but was refused and return shipping was expensive. Next snowfall I'll try to remember to take photos of the hazardous areas and update this review when I have them. Update: In these photos you can easily see that dangerous amounts of ice form around the edges of the mats at areas where people normally walk up the steps.
