I really hesitate leaving negative reviews for items just in case there's been some sort of user error on my end but in this instance I'm pretty sure I've done my due diligence as I've been scooping cat poo for the last 20 years pretty regularly. I purchased this product for two reasons, I wanted a scoop with thin slats to catch the smaller pieces of used litter and this item looked to have the thinnest slats available and I was totally sold on the concept of the non stick Teflon coating deal. And, I'll say for the record, Amazon reviews rarely lead me astray. So, what happened this time, guys? From the very first use (photo 1) to now, several weeks later (photo 2), this item has not lived up to its expectations and I grumble each time I have to use it. I started a return after the first use but, as stated previously, I wanted to make sure i wasn't missing something on my end here but now I feel like it would be just gross and rude to return the scooper with my cat's...leftovers still attached. So I'm chalking this purchase up to falling for the hype and am going back to my $6 cheapie scooper with the too-wide slats. For shame, though, I expected a $15 scooper to live up to its claim.
