Not high quality. Just looks the part.
Purchased in October 2012, used to provide parallel switch between two RV batteries, and disconnect when not using so the propane detector wouldn't drain the batteries. Worked OK until this past weekend. Batteries wouldn't charge. Switch position 1 or 2 , no power. I checked for continuity with a digital multi-meter, and there wasn't any continuity in any switch position.Huh.
Disconnected the switch from the enclosure it was mounted in and disassembled it. Well, it is very broken internally. The internal plastic posts that the 4 square drive screws that hold it together go into were all busted, and the metal rotating switch plate had fallen off the knob sideways inside. This was completely hidden from outside the switch. I think I may have turned that knob 30 times in the last two years.
First photo shows where the switch plate was located, supposed to be in the middle. No water intrusion, no shock damage. Just some failed plastic as shown in the third photo. Seems brittle.
