After reading some of these reviews about this product being counterfeit, I called Olay. I gave them the lot number on my jar that I ordered from Amazon. My jar also has labels rather than the embossed logo that jars in retail stores have. Olay told me that my lot number had been produced in 2016, the last year that had labels on the jar. They say that the the product is good for only 3 years, one year from the time it is opened. So my jar is not going to have the same benefit as if it was made recently. Here is how to tell the age of your Olay lotion. Imbedded in the back of the jar is the lot number but it is very hard to see. After the word LOT there are a series of numbers. The first number is year. I have 6 so my product was made in 2016. The next two numbers are the month. Hope that helps.
