We bought this boombox for my elderly in-laws so that they could listen to cds without having to try to use a more complicated sound system. They live in a different state, so when they told us that they couldn't get the boombox to work, we assumed that they simply did not know how to use it. By the time that a family member could visit them, and ascertain that the machine actually does not work at all, the product return time period had passed. Fortunately, Amazon agreed to refund our money. So, although the product was defective, I am grateful that Amazon came through.
