Not As Good As Erico Every Drop
I bought 2 sets of small spatulas at the same time, this one: The Norpro Silicone Last Drop Spatula; and another: The Erico Every Drop Beauty Spatula. I've since had 5 months to compare them. For those who like to cut straight to the chase, the winner is the Erico Every Drop. It's the one that best fills my needs, & I've turned to it repeatedly, day after day. Just for the record, exposing products to the oils on your hands/fingers can change the color of makeup, & break down the ingredients in creams & serums causing them to "expire" or become less effective over time, so I use my little Erico spatula for much more than just getting the last drop. It actually "preserves" that last drop. ;) My need was for something to get the last bit of serums, creams, & makeups out of their containers. I found the large end of the Norpro too large to get into most serums. It's very flexible, but the "spoon" is very deep, so even scooping creams out of wide mouthed jars is clumsy, you end up getting much more than you need, & then you hafta get the cream out of the scoop. Most times I end up with product under my fingernails, which is one of the major things I wanted to avoid. The small end is a little better, not as deep a "scoop", but it's again too wide for my serums & lacks the flexibility of the large end. It might be useful in the kitchen, but I haven't made it that far yet. The Erico is the better choice ... for ME ... but even that has an edge that sometimes gets hung up on the smallest of bottles, so I'm still looking for the "perfect solution". Meanwhile the Erico is continuing to serve me well. By the way, for anyone who needs to be as frugal as I do (retired, small fixed income, yada yada), I save empty small jars for future use. Wash 'em well, dry thoroughly, store with lid off. So many things come in tubes today which makes for a lot more waste. After I've squeezed as much as I can from a tube using the edge of a table or even a toothpaste "squeezer", I cut the tube open, scrape it out with my Erico, & put the left over product in one of my saved jars. Gets me anything from a few extra days to 2 weeks worth of the product depending on the construction of the tube. You'd be surprised at what's hiding in some of those suckers! And yup! I can stretch a dollar 'til I can see through it. Hafta in order to survive. ;)
