I have used the Upsher-Smith amlactin for many years with a great deal of satisfaction. This did not contain Dimethylsiloxane, which gives the new lotion its "silky" feel. Unfortunately this compound is totally insoluble in water and resistant to detergents which will offset the exfoliating effect of the alpha hydroxy compound. Long term exposure to this compound could result in the increase in epidermal thickness and wrinkles.
