Smelled of mold when I opened the box. Has a tag on on it that indicates the contents should be placed inside an air-tight dishwasher-safe container prior to putting them in the safe, so you will need to fold any paperwork you intend to store in this safe. The label also warns you to air the safe out every 2 weeks. Are you serious?? I did a ton of research on safes of this type before I made my purchase. I actually bought two. I would never have made this purchase had I known the above plus I will not put into service something that smells of mold out of the box. First Alert should pay to have them returned and take them out of service. My impression of First Alert is changed!
