★☆☆☆☆
Great company and concept, terrible return experience.
We bought ours directly from the manufacture, but since I cant leave a review on their website, Ill do it here. I am a male, who has never had any sort of back pain in my 34 years of life. Until of course, we bought this mattress. (that's not the reason for the low review though, more to come) The reason we went with the Leesa over all others, was because we liked the company so much. They do a lot of good things, and are 100% made in the US. So we try it out, and we both hate it. Its way too firm, does not breath and keep you cool, as advertised, and we would both wake up in pain each day. After 2 weeks of pure misery, literally less than 5 hours of sleep each night tossing and turning, and waking up each day with severe back pain, we emailed support. They asked several questions about mattress toppers, protectors, what type of base, etc etc. That's all fine and dandy, but they advertise this product as being free, easy, no hassle returns, so why even ask me questions? I don't like it and I don't want it. They also asked me if I knew a charity that would take it and I gave them all the contact information to the charity that we use locally. The next day, I have a new email telling me a completely different charity will be picking up the mattress in 20 days, and they will be coming on a workday. They say I don't need to be here for pick up, but without a receipt showing they picked it up, I cant get my $1000+ refund.... (Would you leave $1000 sitting on your porch? Also, I get to store this thing for 20 days before I can even get the ball rolling on a refund?). So, I called the new charity myself and tried to rearrange the pick up date; no dice. They literally only pick up on the absolute most inconvenient days possible with my work schedule. Again, you cannot get a refund without a receipt, so there is no way I am going to put it outside and not only hope no one else walks off with it, (We live in a great area, where pickers will drive through and grab anything) but also that the charity leaves a receipt on my door, that does not get blown away in the wind. I'm sorry, I am not willing to take that $1000 gamble. The only way I could insure I did this right to get my money back, was to rent a truck and drive the mattress to the donation center myself. So, instead of a "hassle free" return experience, I had to come out of pocket ANOTHER $94.42 for a truck rental. That is the reason I gave such a low review. I would have definitely given 3 stars despite hatting the mattress, simply because the company is great, had it not been for the major frustration of trying to return it.
