good v quality - but now getting expensive.
This is a fantastic addition to the art world. Those of us who are into adult colouring may not be true artists, but we do appreciate quality and value. I own Prismacolors, Polychromos, Derwent coloursoft pencils. And now Castle Art. The are very nice to use. Soft enough to lay down well without being scratchy. Also variable with pressure so you can get a nice feel as to what effect or intensity you want. Little touch with the tin is nice - the wee handles so you can take the layers out. The only down side with the tin is the fact the pencils are incredibly tightly fitted inside. So you may have the numbers upwards to start with, but when you replace a pencil, it rubs against those either side and kinda rotates them so the numbers start to move away. The only other reason I give it 1 stars and not 5 is due to the range of colours being limited. Lots of blues and greens, not anything in way of skin tones, and not enough brown and green. Also for reason below. For a new brand to market they are good.. Just watch the prices though. They started out at $24.99 and keep going up. Prior to Christmas are now $44.99 - a huge jump! I think it is now a case that the seller is taking advantage of the fact they have become popular, and also the fact people will buy them for Christmas presents, and are now price gouging. This does not sit well with me. I would say at this price you would be better off buying the 150 set of Prismacolors. These are no longer value for money where there is correlation between price and quality.
