I had a Cuisinart hand mixer, 220 watts, which did faithful service for 15 years before biting the dust. Thinking I may not be in the US for very much longer and so should get something just cheap and basic, I ordered this VonShef. It says its 250 watts but for some strange reason, even at max, it gets up to half the speed of my old Cuisinart. And it smells! It’s a piece of crap and I will probably send it back.
