I purchased this as a gift for my husband. By the time his birthday had rolled around, it was just passed the refund period. We discovered that there is a discoloration on the end of the pestle that is the same color as rust. (See pictures.) It has a slight texture, and we cannot get it off with cleaning. It just looks dirty. It's very frustrating since I was quite excited to give this gift and it was a disappointment. We attempted to contact the manufacturer by visiting their website and filling out the form provided in order to send our contact information and our concern to them. The form never worked, and we tried several different internet browsers and several different days spanning a week period. (Just in case it was a server issue.) We even registered our email with them and never received a confirmation email. I feel like we tried everything we could. I like the actual product and would be happy to provide a higher rating if I had a clean, unblemished version. I just can't find anyone to contact!
