I am mad! Came home tonight and I had to fish for keys in the snow and dark, after being locked outside......again...... ugggghhh..... by this crappy lock. This is the the third time with temps around 20degrees in less than one month! Seems to happen only in cold weather,otherwise I really loved the product, when it worked!!!! Once, I was locked out in the cold in my robe and slippers pottying the puppy early in The am. Thank goodness I could get back inside the house through the garage keypad that works consistently, otherwise, I would have been in a Hypothermic state in need of medical treatment! Update: I called the company with my complaints. The conversation lasted less than 2 mins. Apparently, there was a problem with the lubricant that was used, especially in the extreme cold weather. Schlage sent a replacement within the week ; the new one is working perfectly! Over all we are very happy with our key lock........ Now I am am very pleased that Schlage stood behind their product.
