So, I've purchased nearly a hundred different essential oils, and know the trap of "100% pure". That is, essential oils are regulated as cosmetics, not as drugs, and so requirements for "purity" are...uh...mysterious, at best. I got busted on this one. I'm sure there is menthol in this product, but PURE menthol is a solid, not a liquid. Thinking that this was perhaps menthol solubilized in a minimal amount of oil (read: undeclared mystery oil), I stuck my bottle in the freezer for about 30 minutes; not one sign of crystallization. Knowing that the claim of 100% pure menthol is bogus and that the oil in which it is dissolved is not explicitly declared conspire to make this an unusable product. I mean, mystery ingredients are not what I'm looking for in my essential oils. GreenHealth Essential Oils is where I ended up purchasing pure menthol (crystalline).
