Worked like a charm, just as advertized. Never worry about removing the cork from a wine bottle again.The foil cutter was very effective and was easily removed and replaced on its slot on the corkscrew; clever! And it was equally easy to remove the cork from the corkscrew once you had extracted it from the bottle. Worked as well on natural and synthetic corks. You'll never want or need another. FOLLOW-UP: WELL, you MAY very well need another! After twelve months of flawless use, while I was removing a cork, a sharp POP! sounded and a couple of small pieces of plastic fell out. The cork came out of the bottle successfully, and I couldn't see any damage, but the next cork I tried to remove resulted in one of the two sleeves inside the grip falling out as I extracted the cork, and the place where the missing plastic pieces came from was clear: what appeared to be a lug that holds the sleeve in place in the corkscrew. The corkscrew was inoperable and incapable of being repaired except, perhaps, by the manufacturer. This is far too short a useful life for an item that costs as much as this one does.
