I received this transfer bench on February 17, 2017. I began using it on Feb 24, 2017. I have used it two to three times per week since Feb. 24, 2017. Initially I was very pleased with the bench because transfers from my wheelchair were much easier. Unfortunately on March 23, 2017 while I was sitting on the bench in my home shower the rear left leg began to get shorter and shorter leaving me sitting on an angle which made me slide toward the wall. I became quite anxious and then struggled to transfer back to my wheelchair. I was alone in my home at the time. When my son came home from work I told him of the situation. He immediately took the bench out of the shower and evaluated the problem. It appears that the small metal button that allows the height to be adjusted is faulty. When the button should be fully extended to hold the leg at the level I require it is actually not extended fully causing the height of the leg to shorten with just the slightest movement on the bench.
