Detail Doctor doesn't perform as advertised
I am one of those car guys who tries it all, and when Detail Doctor hit the market, I bought two bottles and started testing. Bottom line: if you are trying to make 'textured' exterior plastic look better, then it is ok; however every other claim or use made by the product fails to perform. Interior vinyl and plastic, fails - doesn't dry properly and doesn't leave the shine even after two applications. One smooth plastic, fails - doesn't dry even after 72 hours, oily to the touch even after this long. In the box a key ingredient is linseed oil, which explains why it remains oily after application. On rubber, it fails - just flat out doesn't make it shine. So if you would like it for textured plastic, apply it as directed on a cool surface and then park it in the sun. It will 'cure' faster, and don't let water hit it for at least 24 hours. Overall a disappointing product promoted by a tv celebrity. There are better options out there in the 'wipe' on category of products that work much better and look way better after cured.
