I used it twice and on both occasions when the waffles were ready (the light was green) and I attempted to open this waffle maker it ( for a lack of a better word) - exploded open. The lid just jumped open and the waffle maker fell over. It is so strange and scary at rhe same time. Afterall, the device is hot and to me this is a safety hazard. After the first time this happened, I waited for a few months before I decided to use it again. Unfortunately, the second time ( which was today) turned out to be the same. I did not overfill the waffle maker in case if that is what you ate thinking. My waffle had hols in it since I was to scared to put too much batter. The only possitive thing I have to say about this waffle maker is the size. Overall, I would not recommend it.
