How I loved this little DAC. It was an ideal solution for my listening needs. However, I had always misgivings with the included short rat-tail of a micro usb to lightning connector Fiio included. And my fears have been realized. The cable, cheaply built, has failed and it has proven irreplaceable. Using various combinations of USB to lightning attachments have all failed -- the dreaded "Accessory Unavailable. The attached accessory uses too much power." I've tried the Apple A1440 USB adapter using an unpowered hub or through various cables and all have returned this problem. That is an indictment of Steve Jobs legacy of closed mindedness. Apple products don't play well with anything not Appled. And looking on Amazon you will not find an equivalent of the Fiio cable. Lighting to micro USB (type B) do not exist apparently. But for Fiio they deserve equal condemnation. They've yet to answer any inquiry about a replacement cable. And since their cable seems to be the only one that works... Not going to buy Fiio again. This was ideal up until this happened.
