The first time we used it, we heated water on our stovetop in a separate kettle. Just heated to a gentle simmer. Poured the water in the Half Moon Teapot, along with a flowering tea ball. The flower was pretty. We poured one cup of tea & enjoyed it. We left the teapot on the counter, so it was definitely getting cooler before we used it again. When we went to pour the second cup from the teapot, about 15 minutes later, the glass spout of the teapot broke off into the cup. Also - the description says that it comes with 3 assorted teaballs. We received three that were all the same flavor (peach).
