Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

At first, the blow torch was fine. I used it daily for one week and then it failed. It would no longer produce a flame and troubleshooting did not fix it. I returned it to Amazon as defective and left a poor review. Shortly thereafter, the company emailed me apologizing for the product and offering to send me a free one. At first I thought "great, a company that cares about there product", accepted the replacement, and thanked the company. I quickly learned my mistake. After receiving the replacement blow torch, the company began immediately emailing me asking me explicitly to provide a better review of the product. I told them that I could not do that as I had not had time to test the product adequately, and since the previous product had worked on arrival but then failed later, I could not honestly post a better review until I saw how the product worked in the long term. The company then began repeatedly emailing, pressuring me over and over again to increase my review. They made it clear that they felt I had some obligation to them and that I should dishonestly manipulate my review at their request due to this obligation. At first I refused politely and firmly, telling them I couldn't post a review without testing the product adequately. I believe in providing honest reviews, not artificially inflated reviews due to dishonest company manipulation of reviews. Then they began to email me and tell me that they had been waiting on me long enough, implying that I had been stringing them along and failing to meet my obligation to them to dishonestly increase my review. After they continued to relentlessly and rudely email me, I finally told them "enough - do not contact me again." My experience with them makes me question the authenticity of the reviews for this product as they are clearly pressuring customers behind the scenes to provide dishonest reviews in exchange for free products. Given my experience with this product that demonstrated it was not built to quality and would not last, along with the inappropriate, repeated, and rude attempts of the company to try and manipulate my review, I cannot recommend this product or the company. And to the company since I know they will read this - that is my final, honest review.
