First time use by my wife resulted in our first ever trip to the ER and a finger surgery for severed tendons under GA (no kidding!). Please be careful if you want to put the contents out from the bowl, the blade is not secured and can come off with contents. The blade assembly is heavy and can result in serious injury. The blades are really sharp. My wife was careless thinking that the blade would stay while pouring like the other mixer she has. Perhaps Cuisinart can improve on the design to have a locking mechanism instead of having it just slide onto the spindle or add a warning label not to invert the bowl to avoid falling blades ! Otherwise the motor is powerful it seems like a good product, no problem with shipment either.
