DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. YOU WILL KILL YOURSELF/YOUR PET/YOUR CHILD. I Purchased this item to keep my tank clean. I always ran it with distilled water straight from the bottle. My humidifier has been run without this aqua stick previously, and I have had no problems. About a week into using the stick, I felt that the mist was starting to smell, and I felt it was hurting my lungs. I began to cough incessantly throughout my sleep. I soon noticed cloudy white material inside my water, so I opened up the tank. I found what looks like bacterial growth and fungi in the tank and water. Due to the nature of fungi, I cannot clean out/re-use this humidifier. Korea had recently been known to sell humidifier water purifying products that have killed no less than 35 people as a direct cause. As a korean, it is a shame for me to say, but upon seeing that this product was made in korea, I could not help but to immediately believe that this is made in the same/similar way. I am now having to see a physician for my breathing issues. I actually hope/pray that amazon will ban this product.
