UPDATE: DO NOT BUY - It’s okay, good price.
Update: if you plan on steaming delicates DO NOT BUY. A year later, I can tell you... it’s not worth it. If you are skilled with an iron, stick to that. To learn to use this is an acquired skill. It’s so inconsistent not. I’m never sure if it’s going to chuck out large water drops and ruin my delicates. If you’re familiar with steaming delicate materials, large water drops can completely ruin texture. Especially if you’re doing it immediately before you wear. I originally bought to steam drapes. Didn’t matter too much about the water splatter because they were drapes. But I did acknowledge the problem in my earlier review. A year later, this thing spits more water every time, and no I don’t go above max fill. You get to close to the fabric, you risk it touching the head where the water forms, and/or splatter. If you steam from too far, it takes forever. It’s not worth it. Many times it was quicker to pull out my iron and steam a linen with it instead. I bought it for steaming out new drapes, and honestly, I knew that was a rough first job to test it out but oh well. It did ok considering they were heavy linen, and very wrinkled. Took about two fills per panel. Enough to notice a difference for sure. I can see this for sure working well on clothing. Few cons: you do have to get used to using it, because steam droplets will accumulate around nozzle and if you get too close to the fabric it will wet it. Which is not a huge deal, but if you dont have time to let it dry, it will annoy you. Also, if you fill past the max line, it will splatter even larger drops. It chucked a huge water ball onto my panel from even two inches away. It left a wet spot about six inches diameter. Didn’t bother me but if I was steaming a dress or a shirt last minute I’d be PO’ed. Also, the brush it came with was very difficult to remove. I put it on, but the bristles were making the linen pull a little, so I tried to remove it. It was almost as if it wasn’t meant to be removed. I broke a nail and spilled a cup of water trying to knife it off. Ridiculous. Overall, I don’t love it. But I don’t hate it either. Husband travels a lot for work so figured if this didn’t work well on the drapes he could use it for work since it was so cheap. Will update after travel.
