Looks like they adapted the show to fit the current political agenda more than the actual story.
Looks like they didn't even attempt to match any of the characters to their descriptions. The characters are awful and not even close. Rand and Egwene are sleeping around, Perrin is somehow married, and Mat is a petty common thief. Lan and Moraine taking a bath together? And this is all within a few minutes in. Not sure how true fans of the books would enjoy it, but to each their own. I truly looked forward to this show having read the books many times and have been there since The Eye of the World came out. So disappointed, I don't think I made it 20 in. I'd rather just go back and start the series over. I will be truly amazed if it makes it past the first season.
