My life is being measured by this endless roll of terrible bags
I rarely take the trash out, so I don't feel quite entitled to complain, but on the odd occasion that I do, these bags infuriate me no end. I have begged my husband to cut our losses and throw the rest out, something I have suggested since the start of this nightmarish 200 count journey, but he's willing to endure. The drawstrings just don't work at all. We've had other drawstring bags before so I know how they are supposed to work. These bags function as though the designer thought drawstrings on trash bags were merely decorative and not actually expected to shrink and eventually close the opening of a bag of trash. When I have to take out the trash, I now find myself tying a knot at the top of the bag and ignoring the drawstring feature altogether to save myself the irritation of trying. And boy, have I tried. I remain incredulous that the strings are there and supposed to work, and so I have tried so many times, thinking the last time it failed so spectacularly it must have been a mistake. A dud. No, it is all 200. We have been suffering these bags for what feels like at least two years. When it's finally over, I will buy another brand of drawstring bags, celebrate, discard the mess from the party, then swiftly take out the trash with my new, functioning drawstring bags.
