We've used this car seat for several months now, and have never been happy with the quality. The zipper pulls apart easily, separating the liner from the seat. The hook on the leash is quite small and cheap feeling. But, we did continue to use the seat as it was expensive and we could not find an alternate seat that allowed my 40 lb dog to lay flat but still be contained. Recently, though, the poor quality nearly resulted in a terrible accident. My dog was strapped in and leaning on the window, and the strap attached to his harness broke-- and he fell out of the window of a moving vehicle. Luckily, he was not hurt. The leash that attaches a dog's harness to the seat is not secure. Please be careful if you plan to continue to use this seat, and don't trust that the leash will keep your dog contained in the event of a sudden stop. I did contact the seller direct with my complaint and have yet to receive a response beyond a request for pictures (which I sent).
