Creepy
So I downloaded this app after seeing the warning about it and doing a little research. Snopes has debunked the pedo rumor about this app and claims it's safe. But the app basically did everything those Facebook post- warnings/rumors claim. It asked me how old I was, where I went to school, who my first crush was, what I did on my first date, ect. Now, the really odd part is that when I refused to answer all of those questions it said "You are a member of Anonymous perhaps?" What the hell. Why would that be in it's list of automated responses. I took a screen shot and showed several friends; none of whom could come up with a reasonable explanation except maybe it was a witty response to keeping myself anonymous to the games' prying. So obviously it's not a front for an international pedophile ring or something, but it is still creepy as hell and definitely inappropriate for children. The in-game actions you can do to "Angela" are incredibly sexual. When you pet her, she makes pleased noises, wiggles around and winks at you. When you "poke" her chest she gets angry and tells you to leave her chest alone. Similar responses occur when you poke her backside. When you poke her lap, however, she gets distraught, her knees hit the table and she says things like "Maybe your finger just slipped," and "Where did that annoying finger come from." An independent company review I read mentioned that although some of the content can be worrisome for parents, they can switch it to child mode to avoid the awkward and potentially damaging content, considering it is advertised for little girls. So I switched it to child mode to see what happens. You can still poke her chest, backside and lap as well as pet her and get all the same extremely suggestive responses. In child mode. The only difference is now you can't talk to her. So a little girl playing Talking Angela in child mode has only the option to: poke her body, and get the above response, have birds fly on the screen, feed birds, and buy things from the store (with coins bought with real money or "won" buy watching advertisements). What a fun, child friendly game.
