Purchased this in July 2014 for my elderly mother. Had it installed by a professional plumber. The pedestal base was difficult to level but finally managed it. Mom is only 5'2" and the height was perfect. After being installed for about a year, in 2016, the base started loosening from the floor. When sittting or standing it would rock,back and forth. Had the plumber come out to tighten the floor bolts. This was the same plumber who installed it. He mentioned that this model gives him the same trouble at other calls. Well here we are in July of 2017. This time the tank shattered! I heard a Loud BOOM and the sound of rushing waster..the tank actually shattered and fell apart! (See photos). The water filler thing that fills the tank when empty, kept sensing the tank was empty (obviously because there was no tank) so water was pouring all over the bathroom. By the time I got to the bathroom and turned off the water valve, it was pouring through the floor and flooding the basement. What a mess! Mom had placed her right hand on the top of the tank in order to brace herself when she reached to flush with her left hand. The tank shattered and her right arm sustained some trauma. She was lucky the injury was not worse and that I was there to help! The plumber was NOT surprised the tank shattered! Apparently this model has had calls for the same problem! He said his company installed several of this model during a promotion and 90% had the rocking pedestal and eventual tank problem! FYI replaced with a Kohler classic high rise @ half the price.
