I have other ring products and my expectation for the smart lighting was to be the same great design and look of the other suite of products, this looks like some late 90s style mustard yellow handheld plastic spotlight that would weigh 50lbs due to the collection of D batteries in it. The only difference here is the late 90s plastic spotlight was brighter and the Ring Smart Spot has motion detector on it. I bought 2 and returned one. As always, Amazon was awesome with the return and credit. Adding the light to the hub and then to the app was very easy. I probably should have returned all of it but I already drilled the holes.
