This is a pretty functional food mill. I was happy for the most part with its functionality. However, it seems a little too time consuming to use as peelings/food pieces get packed down and the blade just glides over OR it does the opposite and it’s hard for the blade to gather in pieces between the screen and the blade. Processing apples did work better than tomatoes (I followed all directions). But the BIGGEST issue is that after a couple uses, it started to bleed a gray/black-colored substance into my food! And I have read that this is actually metal shavings from the mechanism. I have cleaned, etc. It did not help. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. And if you have had one, maybe it’s that you have just not noticed this. It was a very slight gray color and I noticed it with the applesauce vs. the salsa. Unfortunately the time has run out for me to return this for my money back but I am going to call and try, this is unacceptable.
