I decided to give this product a try because it boasts that the major ingredient is Flaxseed. MISLEADING. Flaxseed is the 12th ingredient in the list. The other ingredients contained in this product are corrosive and slowly began burning and shredding my hair. As an African American woman I should have done my due diligence and thoroughly checked the ingredient list before purchasing. NOT doing that was my fault. African American hair is more sensitive to certain products and therefore I should have done more research on this company and product BEFORE purchasing this damaging gel. This company targets the female African American demographic. Flaxseed, is a popular ingredient for Black hair because it helps to nurture our natural curl pattern. Unfortunately the marketing and what is actually in this product are two different things. I am BEYOND DISMAYED by their false advertising and their wanton abuse of customer trust. This product contains lye, which is tantamount to putting small doses of acid on your hair. DO NOT USE. I am returning it and requesting a refund. .
