I ordered these thinking hey! Cool! This will come in handy when I need to find what I lost! but.... NO. FIRST... They would not communicate more than 30 feet away. 2nd.... I tested every battery with my voltmeter, all batteries good to go. Replaced all batteries just in case. then, Re tested new batteries and still no difference in radio range.. 3.... The whole shoddy system is a great idea, but sadly... It sucks. Just 1 month after purchasing these things, the whole system crapped out. I have since again replaced batteries, even 2 inches away it will not send or receive a signal to any of the 4 units. took them apart in attempt to fix anything, nothing to fix that I could see. Now they are just color coded key chains for boxes in my garage. A waste of money. Should have donated that amount to the food shelf but I was not smart enough I guess! Lesson learned.... These things do happen. My own fault really, sometimes it's those little things that annoy you enough to take the time to rant online, probably more time better spent doing more productive things haa. Hope this helps the next person
