I only cook with cast iron and have for years. This griddle supposedly is preseasoned but I seasoned my new griddle anyway. Fried bacon and I've never seen bacon stick so badly. After the disaster, it left rust outlines of where the bacon was after I washed it. The picture is after I eashed the griddle. Called the manufacturer and was treated rudely, claiming the griddle isn't nonstick. Once cast iron is well seasoned, it will be nonstick (if it's a true cast iron and not a cheaper steel). All of my other cast iron pans are nonstick. It doesn't cover two burners at once like many reviewers stated. My fault for not measuring. I have seasoned the griddle again and will try pancakes. If sticks, I'm returning. Although the snooty company rep said they "don't take returns because they stick."
