I ordered this after reading a good number of reviews where people stated that this would keep documents dry from rain when inside a backpack or tested the fire resistance with a lighter, which is laughably unrealistic. Unless you are storing your documents in here and holding the pouch during a candlelight dinner and drop the pouch on a candle, I can't think of a circumstance where the fire resistance would be adequate. I tested it by putting some actual papers in the pouch and starting a very small backyard fire. After a couple minutes of fire that wasn't even large enough to burn the actual firewood, all the documents were reduced to ashes. The material that makes up the sleeve seemed fine for 15 minutes in a small campfire, but the seams burned out at about the 2 minute mark and everything inside was cooked to nothingness. Summary: don't expect this to last in an actual fire, unless your greatest fire threat is someone chasing you with a zippo.
